When Jessie's long-term best friend transforms herself into a punk and goes after Jessie's would-be boyfriend, Jessie decides it's time for new friends. Should she accept an invitation to visit "the wild nerd yonder" and seek true friends among classmates who play Dungeons and Dragons? Or should she look for a "cooler" crowd of kids to spend the rest of her sophomore year with? What will everyone think of her if she chooses the nerds?
